Volunteer with VINF
Volunteers are an integral part of the Vancouver Island Neurosurgical Foundation, as they help us to achieve our objectives through contributing to the efficacy of our initiatives, and by bringing a positive energy to our space.
Position Description
The Vancouver Island Neurosurgical Foundation offers a unique experience for aspiring healthcare professionals and workers, as our volunteers are exposed to a broad range of operations that contribute to the inner workings of a medical foundation and clinics.
Position location: hybrid
Time commitment: conditional on availability
Responsibilities:

Work under the direction of the VINF Executive team and the Office Manager

Assist the foundation in various initiatives (e.g., file organization, outreach with non-operative service providers, marketing, etc.)

Assist the organization and facilitation of medical clinics (e.g., calling patients, organizing and cleaning up records, etc.)
Skills and Qualifications:

Familiarity with EMR systems is considered an asset, but not required

Strong sense of initiative, responsibility, reliability, organization, and amiability

Clear criminal record check
